1.Active noise cancellation is to use an extra microphone which emits high pitch frequency to counter the low frequency external sound, so the noise canceling headsets CAN ONLY reduce low-frequency noises like airplane cabin noise, city traffic or a busy office, but it CAN NOT eliminate medium-frequency noise like human voice in the street or in the supermarket or high-frequency noise like the sound from industry machines, construction sites etc
